Aerobics
High intensity, low impact. A variety of methods are employed to get your heart rate up and a smile on your face.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatics Program
Have fun in a heated pool while improving range of motion with the Arthritis Foundation's program.  Any adult with any type of arthritis, decreased strength, or those seeking low intensity exercise can attend. 

SilverSneakers
If you are Medicare-eligible and have a qualifying supplemental insurance, whether you are a first time guest or a regular member at another SilverSneakers fitness center, we invite you to enjoy any of the amenities offered here as part of the SilverSneakers Fitness Program, including the SilverSneakers Class, a strengthening and conditioning class with optional seated support. Yoga
Our yoga studio is equipped with The Great Yoga Wall and many of the props such as those used at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in India. 

Cardiac/COPD Maintenance
If you've experienced a cardiac event/procedure and/or pulmonary limitation...

Don't let it get the best of you. Come join others like yourself in an exercise class designed just for you!

What is it?
Cardiac/Pulmonary Maintenance Class is a supervised exercise program for individuals who have experienced a cardiac event/procedure or with pulmonary limitations. It provides an up-beat, positive, non-threatening atmosphere with easy-to-use exercise equipment, professional guidance, and group support.

Who Supervises it?
John Layes MEd and other Exercise Center staff. John has been on staff at the Exercise Center since 1990 and has supervised the Cardiac/Pulmonary program for over 5 years.

What does it offer?
· Pulse and Blood Pressure Monitoring.
· Personalized Exercise Program tailored to meet your goals and needs.
· Group support from others with similar experiences.
· Professional Exercise Supervision.

How will it benefit me?
· Decrease risk for repeated cardiac event.
· Decrease heart rate and blood pressure.
· Increase HDL levels and decrease serum triglycerides.
· Reduce body fat.
· Reduce insulin needs, improved glucose tolerance.
· Reduced respiratory symptoms.
· Decrease anxiety and depression.
· Enhanced ability to perform daily activities.

Special/Seasonal Programming

Lighten Up
The Exercise Center's premiere weight management program can help you meet your weight management goal.  This 6-week behavior modification program includes an 2-month membership to the Exercise Center, a one-on-one meeting with a personal trainer and weekly educational sessions with a licensed dietician and a certified personal trainer.  Meets for 6 Mondays from 6:00 - 7:30pm. Call for schedule or for more information (479)463-3488.  Cost is $150.00 with a $25.00 deposit due the Friday before class starts on Monday.  Minimum of 6 with a maximum of 20 participants. 

The Pool Area
The pools are available to silver and gold members.  The larger pool is heated to 88 degrees and is equipped for lap swimming, water exercising and water walking.  The smaller pool is heated to 95 degrees and used for water exercising and stretching.  Both pools are handicapped accessible.
